At WyoTech, our unique program structure ensures you’re ready for the industry in just nine months. You’ll spend six months in a core program and three months in a specialty of your choice. But here’s the exciting part-you can add more specialty courses, broadening your skillsets and maximizing your WyoTech training.

How to Know What Programs to Add On

Your instructors and program coordinators can help you identify what program can benefit you based on your career goals. In addition to your trainers, you will have several opportunities to regularly discuss training that can help your career with employers on campus throughout your time at WyoTech. We also have a secondary-course enrollment support team available throughout your time on campus.

Common Program Paths at Wyotech

Many students choose to add one or more programs to their time at WyoTech based on their interests and career goals:

• Automotive Technology
  • Applied Service Management, Motorsports Chassis Fabrication, or High Performance Powertrains.
• Diesel Technology
  • Motorsports Chassis Fabrication, Applied Service Management, or Street Rod & Custom Fabrication.
• Collision/Refinishing Technology
  • Applied Service Management or Trim & Upholstery

Make the Most of Your Time at WyoTech

Adding programs while you’re already enrolled at WyoTech has its advantages. You have housing and financial aid set up, and you’re committed to being in Laramie, Wyoming. It’s easier to extend your stay
now as your leases are customized based on your training preferences allowing you to stay when you decide to take more programs or leave when your additional training is complete.

When to Add a Double

You can submit a request to add an additional program as soon as you’re an active student. Your request will be processed 3-4 months before your requested start date on a first-come, first-serve basis. You will have several opportunities to engage with WyoTech team members specialized in helping you custom build your training while on campus
