Travel and Accommodation:
WyoTech is pleased to offer a travel stipend to help offset the costs associated with attending the Summer Seminar. High school instructors attending the program will receive a reimbursement check on campus, with a maximum of $900 based on the distance traveled from their hometown to WyoTech.
Please note that travel arrangements and accommodation bookings are the responsibility of attendees.

Course Workshop Options June 28-30, 2027
Trim and Upholstery (25 Seat Capacity)
Producing a custom designed mock-up seat. At the completion of the class the students will each have a mock-up seat that they have designed and sewn to take home with them. Topics will include: Basic Sewing Machine Operation, Sewing Basic Seams, Material Layout, Design Patterning, Custom Insert Design and Sewing, Fitment of seat components together and sewing, fitting seat cover to foam and attaching to a base.
Max Student Population: 25 Students
Cylinder Head Port Design and Modifications (10 Seat Capacity)
Topics will include: port terminology and shape, airflow dynamics through the cylinder head, port velocity and its importance, flow bench usage and testing, and port modification. The class will be in the shop after a day of conversation and lecture about these topics. The students will be testing and modifying a cylinder head and using a flow bench to prove the theory covered the previous day.

Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW or TIG) (25 Seat Capacity)
In this course, students will learn the theory of Gas Tungsten Arc Welding, tools, PPE, and equipment associated with Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW), or most commonly referred to as TIG welding. TIG welding is known for being a very clean welding process and is commonly used on precision parts, aerospace, food processing, and in medical instruments. This course will benefit not only students that have never TIG welded before, but we will meet a more experienced welder at their level and work to advance their skills.
Max Student Population: 25 Students
Airbrush and Custom Painting (20 Seat Capacity)
Attendees will learn custom painting and airbrush techniques including shading, landscape murals, stenciling, pearls and candies, and woodgraining, as well as using vinyl cutters and plotters to create and cut out stencils. You’ll also have the opportunity to work on your own project of air brushed mugs / tumblers.

Sheet Metal Shaping (20 Seat Capacity)
Attendees will learn the basics of metal shaping using tools such as English wheel, power hammer, hammer and bead bag, planishing, and bead rolling to shape bowls or similar sheet metal projects used in the custom car building / restoration market.

Understanding Basic Diesel After Treatment Systems (20 Seat Capacity)
A diesel aftertreatment system is an exhaust-side assembly mandated by EPA regulations to reduce harmful emissions (particulate matter and NOx) from internal combustion engines. It utilizes sensors, chemical reactions, and catalysts to convert toxic exhaust gases into harmless nitrogen and water vapor. Components, function and the role they play. Maintenance and regeneration procedures as well as basic diagnostics.

Triton D8 Diagnostic Scan Tool (20 Seat Capacity)
This course provides hands-on training with the Snap-on Triton D8 diagnostic platform. Students will learn common scan tool terminology and develop proficiency using the Triton D8’s features and functions. Topics include graphing data, interpreting diagnostic trouble codes and data PIDs, performing bi-directional controls, and utilizing Global OBD-II functions. Students will also learn to navigate Fast-Track® and SureTrack® resources to support vehicle diagnosis and repair. Upon completion of the course, students will take an NC3 certification exam.

Automotive Basic Electrical Systems (20 Seat Capacity)
This course introduces students to the fundamental principles of electricity and its role in automotive systems. Students will learn electrical measurements and circuit operation, including simple, series, parallel, and series-parallel circuits. The course also covers the application of Ohm’s Law for diagnosing and analyzing electrical circuits. Upon completion of the course, students will take an NC3 certification exam.
