Imagine yourself back in the classroom, this time learning alongside fellow educators passionate about the trades. The WyoTech Summer Seminar in Laramie, Wyoming, offers you that chance.
For a few enriching days, you’ll:

Travel and Accommodation:
WyoTech is pleased to offer a travel stipend to help offset the costs associated with attending the Summer Seminar. High school instructors attending the program will receive a reimbursement check on campus, with a maximum of $900 based on the distance traveled from their hometown to WyoTech.
Please note that travel arrangements and accommodation bookings are the responsibility of attendees.

Course Workshop Options June 22-24, 2026
- Applied Welding Technology Course (28 Seat Capacity)
AWT covers both classroom presentations and hands-on applications with a mix of Shielded Metal Arc Welding – SMAW (Stick), Gas Metal Arc Welding – GMAW (MIG) and Gas Tungsten Arc Welding – GTAW (TIG). The purpose of the course is to meet attendees where their current welding skills are at for each process and assist with advancing those skills.
The course covers welding safety, PPE, tools, machine setup, weld quality, and metal preparation. Students will rotate through hands-on stations for each process, with guidance from experienced instructors to build or advance your skills. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced welder, this course is designed to help you grow and improve. - Transport Refrigeration Course (20 Seat Capacity)
This hands-on course introduces students to the fundamentals of transport refrigeration systems used in trucks, trailers, and containers. Topics include applications, system components, difference between HVAC and Refrigeration, safety procedures, diagnostics, recovery, evacuation, and recharging. Students will also learn to install gauges, interpret pressure/temperature charts, recovery of the system, pumping down the system/evacuation, recharge of the system, and driver interface. The course includes shop-based activities and prepares students to take the EPA 608 Certification exam at the end of the course. - Pro-Cut Train Smart – Rotor Matching & Alignment Course (20 Seat Capacity)
Learn to resurface rotors accurately using the Pro-Cut Rotor Matching System. This course covers key concepts like lateral run-out, disc thickness variation, and surface finish, while demonstrating the benefits of on-car rotor machining. Hands-on training ensures safe, effective use of Pro-Cut’s industry-approved equipment for high-quality brake service. You will receive Pro-Cut certification upon course completion.
The Alignment section covers the fundamentals of primary (caster, camber, toe) and secondary alignment angles, and how they relate to vehicle handling and component condition. Students will perform pre-alignment checks, use Hunter alignment equipment, and learn to diagnose and adjust alignment angles to restore proper vehicle specifications. - Glue Pulling Course (16 Seat Capacity)
Learn one of the industry leaders for paintless dent removal. Learn how to use the most comprehensive glue pulling repair system available to body shop technicians. This system includes the industry’s best lifting tools, a portable light, and GPR tool bag. Finish your repairs fast with minimal, if any, body filler. This will include how to prepare the surface, how to use the tools to most effectively remove large and small dents, and lastly how to easily remove the glue without damaging the original surface. - ASM Course (20 Seat Capacity)
Learn about leadership from the Applied Service Management instructors. Course topics will delve into the definition of leadership, identify different styles of leadership, and differentiate the difference between leaders and managers. Students will utilize a personality assessment tool to help identify their personality and gain understanding on how that affects their leadership style and the decisions that they make. - Trim Course (16 Seat Capacity)
In the trim course, you will learn to sew the basic seams including the standard seam, double reinforced seam and the welted seam. Sewing of the basic seams will also teach the students the proper layout and cutting of their materials. Building upon that, you will learn about insert design and learn how to layout and sew a pleat insert. Finally, you will put all this knowledge together to sew and assemble a three-piece mock-up seat.
