1. Complete High School and Earn Your Diploma

3. Take a Diesel Training Program

4. Get ASE Certified

The Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) organization is an independent body that tests and certifies auto mechanics. Most employers are now looking for ASE certified Diesel mechanics, so consider doing this in parallel with taking up your first apprenticeship.
