What is Accreditation?
Accreditation is a distinction granted to any institution meeting or exceeding the stated criteria of educational quality. The purposes of accreditation include:
- Assess and enhance the educational quality of an institution
- Assure consistency in institutional operations
- Promote institutional improvement
- Provide for public accountability
Why is accreditation important to you?
Accreditation affects you by providing for the responsibility of an institution and assuring prospective and current students of the following:
- It is recognized as a qualified institution of higher learning with approved programs of study that meet recognized academic standards
- It employs a professional staff
- It has sufficient facilities and equipment
- It is a stable and permanent fixture in the educational community
This school voluntarily undergoes periodic accrediting evaluations by teams of qualified examiners including subject experts and specialists in occupational education and private school administration.

ACCREDITATION
The Laramie campus of WyoTech is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges of Technology. The Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges of Technology is listed by the U.S. Department of Education as a nationally recognized accrediting agency.
APPROVALS AND MEMBERSHIPS
This school voluntarily undergoes periodic accrediting evaluations by teams of qualified examiners including subject experts and
specialists in occupational education and private school administration.
- Corinthian Colleges, Inc. is an Accredited Training Sponsor of the National Center for Construction Education and Research(NCCER).
- Eligible institution under the Federal Family Education Loan Program (FFELP) and Federal Parent Loan for Undergraduate Students (FPLUS), Federal Unsubsidized Loan Program Cal Grant.
- Eligible institution for Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG), Federal Pell Grant and Federal Work Study (FWS) programs.
- Provides training services for the State Department of Vocational Rehabilitation.
- Approved for the training of Veterans and eligible persons under the provisions of Title 38, United States Code.
- Member of Career Schools and Colleges.
- Programs for eligible participants under the Workforce Investment Act (WIA)
- The Automotive program is a non-degree program that is programmatically accredited by the National Automotive Technicians
Education Foundation and is approved as an Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Master Certified Automotive Training Program.
