Why do you recommend WyoTech?
Automotive technicians come by their knowledge the hard way: experience. And many are not usually willing to share that knowledge with the competition. WyoTech has knowledgeable, experienced instructors who are not only willing to share what they know, but also anxious to help students to avoid some of the pitfalls. I always learned more from my mistakes than my successes and WyoTech offers a non-threatening environment in which students can learn without the pressure of "on the job" learning.
What would you like to share with prospective students?
Like so many others, I too had to work while attending school. I essentially put the social life on the back burner. It can be difficult, but ultimately an investment in your future.
How did you get started in this field?
I had a hobby of working on "basket case" cars and enjoyed breathing new life into them.
Tell us a bit about your background
I was headed for a career as a psychologist having completed a Bachelor's degree and Master's degree and was on faculty at San Jose State University. My passion, however, was cars, so I decided to turn my hobby into a profession. I started a business specializing in Italian cars . . . Alfa Romeo, Fiat and Lancia and successfully ran it for 20 years. I joined WyoTech to share this hard earned knowledge and return at least some of what was given to me.
Anything else you'd like to share?
I often tell my students that they'll get out of life what they put into it. Equally important is the fact that knowledge is power . . . earning power. That spells a better life for you and your family.
