Why do you recommend WyoTech?
WyoTech is a place of dedicated people who really care about the students and their quest to better their lives in this growing field of automobiles. If the student puts forward their effort to learn, the instructors will help make their goals a reality.
What would you like to share with prospective students?
The automotive field has been really good to me. It has given me a career, and an ability to support my family. It has also given me the satisfaction of owning a successful business and the time and money to pursue other interests. I want to give back to this field-what I learned and my experiences so that the new generation of technicians can carry on into the future.
Tell us a bit about your background:
I really enjoy a challenge so in college I studied nuclear theory and advanced science classes. All the time still working on cars until I opened my first shop. The satisfaction of knowing how to do things in a professional way and succeed in my own shop is a fantastic feeling.
How did you get started in this field?
I liked to work on cars and served a 4-year apprentice program with General Motors. After the apprentice program, I learned everything I could, and went to work for Bentley, Rolls Royce, and Jaguar. Not content to stop there, I started making goals to open my own shop.
Anything else you'd like to share?
The future of automobile repair is a wide open field and there are shortages for qualified people in the industry. Technology is not slowing down and a person who has the skills will not only have a job, but will have a career in an amazing field.
