How did you get started in this field?
I started as an automotive instructor when this campus was Sequoia Institute. I was able to advance my education through the FMU Online campus and become a department chair for the motorcycle program. After a long career in the automotive field, I felt the desire to give back some of my experience to the new generation of technicians.
Tell us a bit about your background
I started in the automotive service industry in 1963 in a service station. I later became a self-employed owning 2 firestone stores and later a fleet repair facility. I retired in September 2000 and started with Sequoia in 2004.
I've been married for 39 years to a wonderful lady. We have two grown sons, and two fabulous grandchildren: Troy 3 and Meghan 2 years.
Why do you recommend WyoTech?
We change lives for real-not only the students we teach--or I guess I should say "help learn" the necessary skills to have a successful career. It is a fun place to work and we really care about what we are doing here.
