Plumbing Technology
The Plumbing Technology program will prepare you to work in all phases of the plumbing field. You will gain the skills to perform plumbing tasks that include repairs and remodels, as well as new construction in the commercial or residential industry.
The program uses the skills acquired in the Plumbing program as a foundation and provides additional training and skills at a more in-depth level.
Plumbing Technology Class Training
The Plumbing Technology program includes instruction on the following:
- Blueprints and isometrics
- Potable water and gas piping systems
- Drain waste and vent systems
- Heating systems, service and repair, stoppages
Strong technical understanding, reasoning ability and problem-solving skills are essential attributes of a successful plumber. You will learn to apply your skills to vital plumbing tasks including the ability to read and understand plans, install and repair pipes, and use a variety of hand and power tools.
Plumbing Technology Career Opportunities
Upon graduation, you will possess the skills to pursue different areas of employment in the plumbing field.
