Residential and Commercial Climate Control, Heating and Refrigeration and many other related industries are being impacted by computerization and sophisticated control systems.

These emerging trends are changing the skill sets and knowledge required for successful service personnel in Residential Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning technology. Technology will always advance, and as a result the Residential HVAC industry will become ever more dependent on the skills and training of properly prepared technicians.

The Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) diploma program provides WyoTech students with the knowledge and skills required to specialize and realize success in the field. Most areas of the world require some residential climate control; therefore, basic electricity, electronic control mechanisms, air conditioning, refrigeration fundamentals, and heating systems are taught in the program.

WyoTech coursework is designed to cover all the areas of the HVAC industry, and upon successful completion of all phases of the program, students will be awarded a diploma.

Successful program graduates can seek employment as entry-level technicians in the Residential Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning field as: Heating Repair Technicians, Air Conditioner Repair Technicians, or Ventilation Repair Technicians.
